The library’s book discussion group selection for this month is Thinner by Stephen King. It’s the story of a man under a Gypsy curse who starts to lose weight… and then cannot stop. Copies are available at the front desk. Bring your lunch to the meeting, if you wish- all adult readers are most welcome.

The library is hosting a free workshop about revamping your résumé so that you’ll be ready to rejoin the workaday world, as presented by Michele Hellyer of Midwest Résumé Service. The Marengo-Union Library is sponsoring a walking tour of the Scotch Cemetery located on River Road. Join Alice Wagner as she outlines the history of this rural and now private cemetery. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress for that morning’s weather (the tour will be cancelled if there is lightning or heavy rain).
