The library’s book discussion group selection for this month is The Anodyne Necklace by Martha Grimes.  This third book in the Richard Jury mystery series involves a murder, a treasure map, and a stolen emerald.  Copies of the book are available at the front desk.

East Tennessee native and former Chicagoan Jim Pfitzer is returning to the area to share some of his favorite Appalachian ghost stories.

Pfitzer, known for his nature-based tales and distinctly southern delivery, plans on sharing stories ranging from just-for-fun ghost stories to some "pretty scary stuff."  Parents may be assured that all ages are welcome and that he will warn them before the scarier stories so they can have their children sitting with them for those parts of the show.
