Friends Info

The Friends of the Marengo-Union Library District is an organization that raises funds to provide programs, materials, and equipment for the library. The Friends will encourage and stimulate the use of the library resources and services as well as focus public attention to the library. The Friends will receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the library.

As a member of the Friends you will have the opportunity to meet new people with similar interests while helping to support the library. Some benefits of membership include special events at no cost to members, and a "members only" preview night for the Fall Book Sale.

Our Fall Book Sale is held in October on the weekend of Marengo's Settlers Days. The public book sale is on Saturday. Used books are on sale everyday in the library.

Membership is open to people of all ages. To become a member, fill out a membership application. Applications are available at the circulation desk of the library. You may also view and print an application form from our Microsoft Word version and drop off or send with your membership fee to:
