Local author Ed LeCrone will give a talk about his newest book, which is called Fire on the Prairie.  After that, he will be available for a book signing.  Don’t miss out!

The library’s book discussion group selection for this month is The Rescue by Nicholas Sparks.  This story is about a single mom who meets a firefighter.  Copies of the book are available at the front desk.  Bring your lunch to the meeting, if you wish- all adult readers are most welcome!

We’ll be showing the 1993 comedy/drama (98 minutes, rated PG) starring Johnny Depp, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Aidan Quinn.  An auto mechanic (Benny) who takes care of his mentally ill sister (Joon) finds that the family dynamics have changed when a rather odd young man moves into their household.  Movie snacks will be served.
